Ingredients

  • 2

    cup flour

  • 1

    cup sugar

  • teaspoon baking powder

  • 1

    teaspoon salt

  • ½

    teaspoon baking soda

  • ¼

    cup butter

  • 1

    egg [beaten]

  • 1

    teaspoon grated orange peel

  • ¾

    cup orange juice

  • cup light raisins

  • cup fresh or frozen cranberries [chopped]

Directions

Sift dry ingredients. Cut in butter until crumbly. Add egg, orange peel, orange juice. Stir until mixture is evenly moist. Fold in raisins and cranberries. Spoon into greased 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pan. Bake 350 degree 1 hour 10 minutes until toothpick comes out clean. Remove from pan. Cool on rack.
