Sauerkraut Applesauce Sausage Beer Casserole
from the Red Hat Society Cookbook
- 24 ounces of sauerkraut
- 8 ounces of applesauce
- 2 pounds kielbasa sausage cut into bite-size pieces
- 12 ounce bottle of beer
Spread sauerkraut in bottom of a lightly oiled crock-pot. Spread applesauce atop sauerkraut layer. Add sausage pieces. Pour beer over the ingredients. Cook at low for 7-8 hours or at high for 4-5 hours. Serve over mashed potatoes.
