- FROSTING:
- 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
- 2 3/4 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil, plus more as needed
- 4 large eggs
- 1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin purée (not pie filling; about 1 3/4 cups)
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 package cream cheese, room temperature
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 bag white chocolate chips

- 4-1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. cornstarch
- 3 T. lemon juice
- 2 t. cinnamon
- 1/4 t. nutmeg
- 1 t. salt
- 2 to 3 drops yellow food coloring
- 5-1/2 lbs. apples, peeled, cored and sliced
