Damn Good Chocolate Cake

Bake as directed
- Darn Good Chocolate Cake
- Ingredients
- vegetable oil or spray for your pan
- flour for dusting your pan
- 1 package of Devils food or dark chocolate fudge cake mix
- 1 package of Devils Food or chocolate fudge instant pudding mix (3.9 oz)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup water (I use milk, others have even used hershey syrup)
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil (some people sub softened or melted butter)
- 4 large eggs (if making as a sheet, I’d reduce to 3 eggs)
- 1 1/2 cups semisweet chips
- Instructions
- Place rack in middle of oven and preheat to 325. Mist and flour your pans.
Apple Pie

Melt butter in a sauce pan
- 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 8 Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored and sliced
Wasabi Dressing/Drizzle

Whisk together until combined
- 3 tbsp. wasabi powder
- 1 tbsp. water
- 1 c. mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp. honey
- Juice of 1/2 lemon or lime
- Creamy Dressing Style
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 1/2 to 2 teaspoons prepared wasabi
Pear Salad (From Cheryl)

Chop and combine above
- Dressing:
- Romaine Lettuce
- Crumbled Feta
- 1/2 c. toasted pecans (halved or chopped)
- 2/3 c. olive oil
- 3 Tbs vinegar
- 1/3 c. white sugar
- 1 can drained pears.
- *Blend above in blender and coat salad as desired

- 1 12 oz. bag semi sweet choc. chips (melted)
- 2 sticks butter, melted
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. sifted self rising flour
- 2 c. pecans

Toffee Bars

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and brown sugar
- 1 cup butter (no substitutes), softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 pkg nestle milk choc chips
- 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans (opt)
Pulled Pork Roast

- Dry Rub
- 2 tbs salt
- 2 tbs pepper
- 2 tbs dark br. sugar
- 2 tbs paprika
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 2 c. apple juice
- 1 c. apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbs worsester
Pecan Toffee Bars

Preheat oven to 400 F. Line cookie sheet with graham crackers, cutting and fitting so there are no gaps
- 30 graham crackers
- 1 1/2 C chopped pecans
- 1 C butter
- 1 C brown sugar
Pork/Chicken Apricot Sauce

Combine and marinade pork or chicken for grilling
- 1 1/4 cup apricot preserves
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
Comeback Sauce. The sauce for everything

Mix all ingredients well and store in refrigerator overnight
- Makes 1 pint worth
- 1 cup Duke’s mayonnaise (one of my Favorites)
- 1/4 cup Heinz ketchup
- 1/4 cup chili sauce ( I prefer Heinz. DO NOT substitute Thai Chili Sauce)
- 1 heaping teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
- 1/4 cup light olive oil
- juice of one lemon
