Taco-Pasta Toss

COOK spaghetti as directed on package, omitting salt
- 220 g whole wheat spaghetti, uncooked
- 1 lb. (450 g) extra-lean ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 pkg. (35 g) 40%-less-sodium taco seasoning mix
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup frozen corn
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup Kraft Tex Mex Light Shredded Cheese
- 1/4 cup light sour cream
Creamy Garlic Penne Pasta

Melt butter and add garlic in a medium sauce pan
- 1 (1 lb) box penne or 1 (1 lb) box penne rigate, cooked as directed, drained and kept hot
- 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 3/4 cup chicken broth or 3/4 cup beef broth
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons parsley flakes
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
Mixed Veggie and Steak Chili

In large shallow saucepan or Dutch oven, heat oil over medium high heat and brown steak
- 1 tsp canola oil
- 1 sirloin grilling steak (about 375 g/12 oz), chopped into (1/2 inch) pieces
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp each dried oregano leaves and ground cumin
- 1 can (796 mL/28 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 cups mixed frozen vegetables, such as broccoli, cauliflower and carrots
- 1 can (540 mL/19 oz) no salt added red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Arrange onion slices evenly over the bottom of the slow cooker, and then place the roast on top of the onion
- 2 large onion, sliced
- 5 pounds boneless pork loin roast
- 2 cups hot water
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup and 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 dashes hot pepper sauce, or to taste
Apple Crumb Pie

Preheat oven to 400*F. Mix granulated sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 5 large granny smith apples
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/3 cup cold butter
- 1 9-inch pie shell
Raspberry Pie

- 4 c raspberries
- 1 c sugar
- 1/3 c flour
- 1 tbsp lemon juice

Chewy Chocolate Bars

Melt chocolate chips with Eagle Brand
- 1 pkg (300g) semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1 can (300ml) Low Fat or Regular Eagle Brand
- 3/4 c butter, softened
- 1-1/4 c packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1-1/2 c all-purpose flour
- 3/4 c rolled oats
- 1/2 tsp salt
Cheesy Chicken Tater Tot Casserole (Slow Cooker)

Spray slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray
- 1 (32 oz.) bag frozen tater tots
- 1 (3 oz.)bag bacon pieces
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup milk
- salt & pepper, to taste
Chipits Jumbo Oatmeal Cookies

Beat butter and brown sugar with a fork until well blended
- 1 1/2 cups softened butter
- 2 1/4 cups lightly packed brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 3 cups Quaker Oats - any variety
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 3 cups Chipits semi sweet chocolate chips
- Makes about 40 large cookies
