Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F
- For Pumpkin add:
- 1 quart heavy cream
- 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped
- 1 1/3 cup vanilla sugar, divided
- 6 large egg yolks
- 2 quarts hot water
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 pinches nutmeg
- 1 pinch ginger
- 1 pinch ground cloves
- 1/4 cup canned pumpkin puree
BLACKBERRY CUSTARD PIE

Combine sugar, flour and berries and toss to coat fruit
- 1 (9 inch) pie crust
- 2 c. fresh berries
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1 sm. can evaporated milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Honey Glazed Fried Manchego Cheese

Cut Manchego into 1 1/2 inch cubes
- 1/2 pound Manchego cheese, cut in 1 1/2 inch cubes
- 1 cup flour
- 1 egg, lightly whisked
- 1 cup Panko bread crumbs
- canola oil, for deep-frying
- A drizzle of honey
- A sprinkle of smoked paprika
Plum Cornmeal Cake

- 1 1/2 cups cake mix
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Large pinch of kosher salt
- 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix
- 6 ounces (12 tablespoons) butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 ripe red-fleshed plums, such as Santa Rosa
Korean Spicy Chicken Wings

Rinse the wings in cold water, then lightly salt and pepper them
- 1 1 1 lb chicken wings (sectioned)
- 1/3 1/3 1/3 cup potatoes or 1/3 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 1/2 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
- vegetable oil (for deep frying)
- Stir Fry Sauce
- 2 2 2 tablespoons fine ground red chili pepper
- 2 2 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 2 2 tablespoons sugar (or honey, or corn syrup)
- 1 1 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (or wine)
- 4 4 4 cloves peeled garlic
- 1/2 1/2 1/2 inch peeled fresh gingerroot
- 2 2 2 tablespoons korean red pepper paste (gochujang)
- to as needed to obtain a thin paste
- To Garnish
- 1 1 1 spring onion
- 1 1 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

• Preheat a grill pan on high heat for 5 minutes
- 8 ounces beef tenderloin steak or filet mignon
- 1 clove garlic
- Olive oil, for coating
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 3 ounces Neufchatel cheese or other reduced-fat cream cheese, softened
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil, mint or flat-leaf parsley
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 English cucumber, sliced into 1/4-inch-thick rounds
- 2 tablespoons thinly sliced grape or cherry tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped red onions

- 4 tablespoons butter
