- 1/2 yellow onion, finely chopped
- 1 small carrot finely chopped
- 1 celery stalk, finely chopped
- 1 bl. Lean ground beef or turkey

- 1 cup dry white wine
- 1/2 c. half & half ( I use fat free)
- 1/8 tsp. Nutmeg
- 2 cups canned, whole peeled tomoatoes, w/juice, coarsely chopped.
Zesty Orange glazed drumsticks

Position the oven rack about 6" from the broiler
- 1/4 cup orange marmalade
- 2 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp. ground coriander
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 8 small chicken drumsticks (about 1 1/2 lb)
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- kosher salt and pepper
Chicken Salad

Combine all ingredients and refrigerate for at least an hour for the flavors to meld together
- 4 cups cooked chicken---rotisserie is great--discard the skin and bones.

- 1/2 c. diced apple
- 1/2 c. shredded sharp cheddar---fat free is great in this.
- 1 c. mayo--low fat or fat free
- 1 Tbsp. rice wine vinegar

Beer-Battered Buttermilk Fried Chicken

In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk with the salt, black pepper and cayenne
- Buttermilk Soak:
- 3 cups buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
- 4 pounds medium chicken wings, thighs and drumsticks
- Beer Batter:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
- 18 ounces dry, crisp beer, such as lager or pilsner (2 1/4 cups)
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Grilled Honey-Glazed Pork chops

1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF (180ºC)
- 20 oz. (600 g) fresh sweet cherries, stemmed and pitted
- 2 tbsp. (30 g) butter, melted
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup (240 ml) milk
- 3/4 cup (100 g) flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup (100 g) sugar
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract (or 3 drops of almond essence)
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- For dusting: powdered sugar
Cabbage Soup Diet - Seven Day Plan

Basic fat burning soup. The soup can be eaten anytime you are hungry
- 6 large green onions (also called “spring” onions)
- 2 green peppers
- 1 or 2 cans of tomatoes (diced or whole)
- 3 carrots
- 1 container (10 oz. or so) mushrooms
- 1 bunch of celery
- half a head of cabbage
- 1 package spice only soup mix (In the US, Liptons is a good choice)
- 1 or 2 cubes of bouillon (optional)
- 1 48oz can Low Sodium V8 juice (optional)
- Season to taste with pepper, parsley, curry, garlic powder, etc. (Little to NO SALT!)

Hungarian Mushroom soup

- 2 tsp. olive oil
- 2 cups sweet yellow onions, diced
- 8 oz. button mushrooms, sliced
- 8 0z. crimini mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tsp. dill weed
- 1 Tbsp. paprika
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1 cup 2% milk
- 2 cups vegetable or chicken stock, divided
- 2 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- sea salt and freshly cracked pepper to taste
