Basic Miso Soup

Bring water to a slow simmer and add seaweed
- 4 cups water
- 1/3 cup miso
- 3 green onions (scallions), chopped
- 1 tbsp shredded nori or wakame seaweed
- 1/2 block firm silken tofu, cut into 1 inch cubes
- dash soy sauce (optional)
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil (optional)
chicken terriyaki

easy, only 3 ingredients
- 3 frozen chicken breasts, ribs attached
- 2 cups pineapple chunks, partially drained
- 6 oz. kikkoman teriyaki sauce
Olive Tapanade

Chop all ingredients--let stand 1-2 hours
- green and black olives equal amounts
- olive oil
- red and yellow peppers
- a few capers
- red wine vinegar
- salt, oregano and parsley to taste
Maple Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Toss brussles sprouts with olive oil, maple syrup, and vinegar
- 1 1/4 lb smaill Brussles sprouts
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 2 Tbsp. maple syrup
- 1 Tsp. balsamic vinegar
- salt and papper
Cheese Danish

preheat oven to 350. grease a 13x9 inch baking pan
- 2 cans ready to use refrigerated crescent rolls
- 2 8-ounce packages cream cheese
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 egg white
Rosemary Bread

Place ingredients in the pan of the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer
- 1cup1 cup water
- 3Tbsp.3 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 1/2tsp.1 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1 1/2tsp.1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4tsp1/4 tsp italian seasoning
- 1/4tsp.1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1Tbsp.1 Tbsp. dried rosemary
- 1 1/2c.1 1/2 c. bread flour
- 1 1/2tsp.1 1/2 tsp. active dry yeast
Banana-Carrot Bread

Grease and flour a 9"x 5" by 3" loaf pan
- 1 cup very ripe bananas, mashed, about 3 banans
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil---or 3/4 cup applesauce
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 Tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup finely chopped or grated carrots
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Shrimp Salad

Thaw shrimp completely, then put into boiling water for 2-3 minutes
- 21-25 count large shrimp, deveined and de headed.
- 1 lg. celery stalk cut small
- 1/4 cup capers
- 1/8 tsp. pepper-or to tast
- 1/4 tsp. dried dill
- 2 Tbsp. lemon
- Mayo to taste
Coconut Chicken Curry

- 1 cup(s) long-grain white rice
- 1 tablespoon(s) olive oil
- 1.50 pound(s) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced 1/4 inch thick
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 clove(s) garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon(s) ground ginger
- 1 small apple, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 1/4 cup(s) golden raisins
- 1 tablespoon(s) curry powder
- 1 cup(s) light coconut milk
- 1 cup(s) low-sodium chicken broth
- Chopped cilantro, for serving
Sea Salt Caramel Brownies

- 1 pkg. fudge brownie mix
- eggs
- Vegetable oil
- Water
- 20 pieces individually wrapped caramels
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. Morton Coarse Sea Salt
