Cornbread Recipe - from Paul Deen

This cornbread is great alone but I also use this in the Southern Cornbread Stuffing recipe from Paula Deen
- 1 cup self-rising corneal
- 1/2 cup self-rising flour
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Chocolate Ganache Cupcakes

Line muffin pans with 12 paper liners
- For the ganache:
- 1/4 pound unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 extra-large eggs, at room temperature
- 16 fluid ounces chocolate syrup (recommended: Hershey's)
- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces good semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon instant coffee granules
- Candied violets, for decoration, optional
Starbucks Banana Walnut Bread

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
- 1 3/4 cups flour (bread flour is best)
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup mashed ripe (this is usually 2 or 3 bananas)
- 1/3 cup margarine
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup chopped walnuts (divided into 2 (1/2 cup) portions
Cheddar Cheese Muffins

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- 1 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted & then cooled
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
Chocolate Cranberry Scones

Bake the scones Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 1 extra-large egg
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract, preferably Madagascar Bourbon or Tahitian
- 5 tablespoons granulated cane sugar
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon orange zest, about 2 oranges
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, very cold and cubed
- 1/3 cup 65% chocolate, coarsely chopped
- 1/3 cup dried cranberries
- 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream (used for brushing tops of scones)
Red Velvet Cake w/Cream Cheese-Bourbon Frosting

Preheat the oven to 350. Grease three 9-inch round cake pans with butter, oil, or cooking spray
- FOR CAKE:
- 2 cups canola oil
- 2 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 6 tbsp red food coloring
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 1/2 cups cake flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 cups buttermilk

- 2 1/2 tsp distilled white vinegar

- 1 1/2 sticks (6 oz) butter, at room temperature

- 1 1/4 ounces best-quality bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped (1/4 cup)
