Seasoned Red Potatoes

Peel a strip from around each potato
- 12 -14 small red potatoes
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Spanish Rice

Measure out 1 cup of rice and sort through it remove any debris
- 2-3 tablespoons lard or cooking oil
- 1 cup uncooked white rice
- 3 cloves of garlic, peeled and chopped
- 1/4 of a large onion, peeled and chopped
- 1 14oz can chicken broth
- 1 8oz can of tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup water
