Slow Cooker Chinese Beef and Pea Pods

- 1 to 1 1/2 pounds flank steak
- 1 (10 ounce) can of beef consomme
- 1/4 cup soy sauce

- 3/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 3/4 tsp. almond extract
- 1 3/4 cup flour

Nachos Supreme

Crumble beef and sausage in frying pan; add onion and brown well
- 1/2 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 pound smoked sausage
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 to 4 shakes Tabasco sauce
- 31 ounce can refried beans
- 4 ounce can green chile peppers, drained and chopped
- 1 1/2 cups Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
- 1 1/2 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 7 ounces green chile salsa
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 1 ripe avacado, mashed
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup pitted black olives, sliced and drained
Classic Meat Loaf with Brown Sugar/Ketchup Glaze

- 1/2 cup ketchup or chili sauce

- 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce

- 2 pounds meatloaf mix (1 pound of ground beef and 1 pound of ground pork)
- 2/3 cup crushed saltine crackers
- 1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 8 slices bacon, or more as needed

Makes a very large casserole
- Cook:
- 1 pound medium pasta shells
- Saute:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, seasoned with salt and pepper
- 5 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- Whisk in:
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh garlic
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 10 ounces Gorgonzola, crumbles
- 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary
- Combine:
- 1 cup fresh bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon minced lemon zest

- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

- 1 (5 ounce) bag baby spinach
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
- 6 tablespoons juice from 2 lemons
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
