DELUXE LEMON MERINGUE PIE

Combine first 3 ingredients in a large heavy saucepan; mix well
- 1 1/2 C sugar
- 1/3 C cornstarch
- 1/4 t salt
- 1 1/2 C cold water
- 1/2 C lemon juice
- 5 eggs, separated
- 2 T butter
- 1 to 3 t grated lemon rind
- 1 baked 9-inch pastry shell
- 1/4 t cream of tartar
- 1/2 C plus 2 T sugar
- 1/2 t vanilla
BUTTERSCOTCH-WHITE CHOCOLATE BISCOTTI

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 2 C flour
- 2/3 C brown sugar
- 1 t baking soda
- 1/2 t salt
- 1 (8oz) bar premium white chocolate, finely chopped
- 1 t vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 egg white
HUMMUS

1. Drain and rinse garbanzo beans, if using canned
- 2 C cooked garbanzo beans (canned is fine)
- 1/2 C lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed into a paste
- 1/4 t salt
- 1/2 C tahini (sesame paste)
- 1/4 C water
- Extra-virgin olive oil
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
MANDERIN ORANGE CAKE

Mix first five ingredients together with mixer
- 1 Duncan Hines Butter Golden Cake mix
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 C oil
- 1 can manderine oranges (12 oz) plus juice
- 1 package instant vanilla pudding
- 1 8 oz can crushed pineapple
- 1 large container Cool Whip
- 1 C powdered sugar
CHICKEN ZITA

Put oil in large Dutch oven
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 package fresh mushrooms, chopped
- 1/3 C fresh parsley, chopped
- 12-16 oz (dry) ziti or like pasta
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 (8oz) package cream cheese
- 1 C chicken broth
- 2 C cooked chicken
- 1 C cottage cheese
- 1 1/2 t basil and oregano
- 1 large package shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 C grated parmesan cheese
- 1 t olive oil
KAHLUA CAKE

Mix all ingredients together except chips
- 1 Duncan Hines Chocolate Cake Mix
- 1 small package vanilla pudding
- 6 oz mini chocolate chips
- 4 eggs
- 1/3 C kahlua
- 3/4 C oil
- 1 pint sour cream
PASTA BROCCOLI

Saute onions in olive oil till clear
- 1 large onion (chopped)
- 1 28 oz can chopped tomato
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 bunch broccoli
- 1 t basil
- 1 t oregano
- 1/4 C olive oil
- salt, pepper
EGG NOG
By gailg
Combine ingredients in blender and add as much rum as you like
- 6-8 eggs
- 1 C sugar
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1 t vanilla
- 1 t cinnamon
- 1 t nutmeg
- 1/2 t ginger
- 1/2 t allspice
- 3-4 shakes angostura bitters
- Dark rum
PASTA SALAD

Boil pasta according to package directions
- 1 package tri-colored pasta
- 1 cucumber peeled and diced
- 1 can sliced black olives
- 1 yellow pepper diced
- pepperoni
- dill weed
CARROT CAKE

Mix first two ingredients and add well beaten eggs
- 2 C sugar
- 1 1/2 C oil
- 4 eggs
- 2 t baking soda
- 2 t baking powder
- 2 C flour
- 2 t cinnamon
- 1 t salt
- 1 C chopped nuts
- 3 C grated carrots
- Icing: 1 box powdered sugar
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 t vanilla
- 8 oz cream cheese
- (usually double)
