A real holiday favorite
- Cake part:
- 3/4 cup King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice or a mixture of cloves, ginger, and allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup pumpkin purée
- Filling part:
- 8 ounces of cream cheese
- 6 tablespoons of butter
- 1 cup of confectioners’ sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
Instant Pot Stuffed Cabbage

Cook the rice according to the package directions
- INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup brown or long grain white rice
- 1 large head cabbage
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 4 cloves garlic, finely minced then “pasted”
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
- 3/4 lb. ground pork*
- SAUCE
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 1 cup finely chopped onion
- 3 cloves garlic, minced, then “pasted”
- 2 (14 1/2 oz. each) cans diced tomatoes with their juice
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 2 teaspoon low sodium instant beef bouillon
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper or freshly ground black pepper
- 3-4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoon cold water
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Chicken Pot Pie, Vermont Style

This is a little labor intensive, but well worth every bite in the end
- CRUST:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 stick (4-tablespoons) unsalted butter, cold, cut into 1/2-inch cubes (see Cook's Note)
- 4 ounces cream cheese, cold, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- 2 to 4 tablespoons ice water
- FILLING:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 medium onion, sliced into 1/8-inch-thick half-moons
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 medium potato, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch cubes (about 1-cup)
- 1/2 cup French green beans, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 1/2 red bell pepper, chopped into 1/4-inch pieces
- 1/2 large rotisserie chicken, meat picked and shredded into bit-size pieces (about 2-cups)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup dry vermouth (see Cook's Note)
- 1/4 cup Parmesan, grated (use the real deal!)
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
- Zest of 1/2 lemon
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 egg whisked with 1 tablespoon water, for egg wash
