Iowa Ice Box Dessert Cake

Instructions with ingredients
- 1 pkg. unflavored gelatin
- 1/2 cup cold water
- Mix and set aside.
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups scalded milk
- Boil until it makes thin custard.
- Add gelatin and cool.
- Take 2 egg whites and beat until stiff and fold into custard.
- 2 cups whipping cream
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Beat until stiff.
- Fold into custard mixture.
- Pour over 2 cups Angel Food Cake broken into pieces.
Bacon-Stuffed Eggs

Put egg yolks through sieve
- 6 large hard-cooked eggs
- 6 slices of bacon
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon softened butter
- 1 teaspoon spicy brown mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Broccoli Slaw

Mix salad ingredients in bowl
- Dressing:
- 1 bag broccoli slaw mix (10 oz.)
- 2 pkgs. Ramen Noodles (I use chicken flavor)
- 3-4 sliced green onions
- 3.75 oz. bag sunflower seeds
- 1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/3 cup vinegar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 seasoning packets from noodles
Barbecued Pork Sandwiches

In a small saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender
- 3 tablespoons chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1-1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 1 cup shredded or diced cooked pork
- 2 hamburger buns, split
Deviled Eggs

Mix and pipe into egg whites
- 1/2 mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- vinegar, salt, pepper, mustard, relish as desired for correct consistency.
Spinach Balls

Cook and drain spinach. Mix with other ingredients and shape into balls
- 4 packages frozen chopped spinach (use top brand)
- 1 large Pepperidge Farm Stuffing Mix (Package serves 12 or 2 packages which serves 6)
- 12 eggs, beaten
- 4 onions finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon Accent
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup melted margarine
Ravioli

Roll out dough and cut into squares
- Combine together:
- Large can of tomatoes
- onions
- sugar
- Use own descretion as to amounts of above.
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 cups
- 1/3 cup oil
- 1 lb. ground beef
- salt and pepper to tast.
RED VELVET CUPCAKES WITH CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- FOR CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:
- 2 1/2 CUPS ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
- 1 1/2 CUPS SUGAR
- 1 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
- 1 TEASPOON SALT
- 1 TESAPOON COCOA POWDER
- 1 1/2 CUPS VEGETABLE OIL
- 1 CUP BUTTERMILK, ROOM TEMPERATURE
- 2 LARGE EGGS, ROOM TEMPERATURE
- 2 TABLESPOONS RED FOOD COLORING
- 1 TEASPOON WHITE DISTILLED VINEGAR
- 1 TEASPOON VANILLA EXTRACT
- 1 POUND CREAM CHEESE, SOFTENED
- 2 STICKS BUTTER, SOFTENED
- 1 TEASPOON VANILLA EXTRACT
- 4 CUPS CONFECTIONERS SUGAR
- CHOPPED PECANS AND FRESH RASPBERRIES OR STRAWBERRIES, FOR GARNISH
Sandwich For a Crowd

Cut bread in half and hollow out top and bottom (discard or eat the insides)
- 2 loaves Italian bread
- 1 8oz. pkg. cream cheese
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup diced green onion
- 1/4 cup mayo
- 1 Tbs. Worcestershire
- 1 lb. ham
- 1 lb. roast beef
- 12-14 slices dill pickle
- (Can use other combinations of meat)
Busy-Day Baked Fish

In a shallow bowl, combine sour cream and soup mix
- I cut recipe in half.
- 1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
- 2 tablespoons onion soup mix
- 1-1/2 cups seasoned bread crumbs
- 2-1/2 pounds fresh or frozen fish fillets, thawed
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/3 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
