From Beautiful Creatures *in Amma's kitchen, the crust is homemade
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unbleached flour
- 1/2 lb (2 sticks) butter, melted and cooled
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- 1 unbaked 9-Inch pie crust (prepared or homemade)*
- Vanilla ice cream (optional)
Cranberry-Wild Rice Bake

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees
- 1 cup uncooked wild rice
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 medium Onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
- 3 ounces mushrooms, sliced (1 cup)
- 2 1/2 cups chicken broth, heated
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup dried cranberries
