This recipe came from a cooking class at Chef Chu's in Los Altos
- 25 Tiger Lily Bulbs
- 3 dried black Wood Ear Fungus
- 2 T ea soy & dry Sherry
- 1 t sugar
- 1 t sesame oil
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/2 lb pork
- 4 eggs scrambled
- 2 c cabbage shredded
- 1/2 c carrot shredded
- 1/2 c bamboo shoots
- oil
- 5 green onions slivered
- Mu Shu pork wrappers
- Hoisin Sauce
Mama's Best English Toffee

Excellent Candy english toffee
- 1 C Butter
- 1 C Sugar
- 1 t Vanilla
- 1 c almonds (sliced)
- 1 cup choc chips
Ice Cream Punch

This is a refreshing family favorite punch, good for a shower or other gathering
- 1/2 gal ice cream
- 1/2 gal raspberry (or lime) sherbet slightly softened
- 1 lg can Pineapple Juice
- 1/2 can water
- 1 qt 7-UP
- 2 pkg Raspberry Koolaid (or Lime)
Gertie's Three Bean Salad

Another family favorite common at Sunday lunch
- 1 can green beans
- 1 can Red Kidney Beans
- 1 can Garbanzo Beans
- 1 med onion chopped
- 1/4 c sugar
- 1/2 c salad oil (canola)
- 1/2 wine vinegar
- 1/2 t salt
Cajun Shrimp and Sausage Soup

Adapted from a recipe in the newspaper a long time ago
- 2 Louisiana Hot Sausages (andouille works)
- 2 T butter or 1T butter/1T Olive Oil
- 1 large Onion thinly slivered
- 1 stalk celery thinly sliced
- 1 medium bell pepper, seeded and cut into thin strips
- 1 small dried hot red chili, crushed (optional)
- 1/4 t dried thyme
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/4 c uncooked rice
- 1 can (1 lb) tomatoes
- 1 c tomato juice
- 2 c homemade chicken broth
- 1/4 pound cooked, peeled small - medium prawns
Caramelized Onion Foccacia

This recipe is adapted Emeril Lagasse from foodnetwork
- Onions:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups chopped yellow onions
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Dough:
- 1 (1/4-ounce) packet active dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1/4 cup olive oil plus 3 tablespoons
- 1 cup warm water (about 110 degrees F)
- 1 teaspoon fine salt
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons kosher salt
- Coarsely ground black pepper
- 1 1/2 c parmesan
Seafood Crepes

The recipe from my mother's recipe file said the recipe came from Chef Gregory
- Sauce:
- 1/2 c butter
- 1 med onion chopped
- 1/2 c flour
- 1 T Chicken Base
- 2 t dry mustard

- 1 T Hungarian Paprika
- 2 c milk or light cream
- 1 c dry sherry
- 3 to 4 egg yolks
- Filling:
- 1 lb crab meat
- 1 lb shrimp
- 1/2 c finely diced celery
- 2 T parsley
- 1 c grated swiss
- 1 c prepared sauce
- 1 c milk or dry sherry

Crepes with Ripe Olive and Ham Filling

This recipe is from my mother's recipe file and has Good! written on the corner
- 8 crepes
- 2 c canned pitted black olives
- 1/4 c butter
- 1/2 c finely chopped celery
- 1/4 c finely chopped onion
- 1/2 c sifted flour
- 2 c half and half
- 3/4 t salt
- 1 t prepared mustard (I assume dry)
- 1 c cooked ham
- 2 T finely chopped parsley
- 3/4 c grated swiss
- 4 small thin slices tomato
- for garnish
- 4 whole ripe olives
- 4 small sprigs parsley
Hot Corn Dip

This is SOOO yummy! serve with corn chips or other "scoop" chip
- 2- 11 oz. cans of Green Giant Mexicorn (or southwest canned corn blend), drained
- 2 cups pepperjack cheese, shredded
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- Chopped jalapeno pepper to taste (with some sliced for the topping if you
- like)
Crab and Sweet Corn Chowder

Emeril Lagasse's take on corn chowder
- 3/4 pound bacon
- 2 c chopped onions
- 1 c chopped celery
- 1 c diced carrot
- 1 1/2 t salt
- 1/2 t cayenne
- 6 bay leaves
- 3/4 c all purpose flour
- 8 c chicken stock
- 1 1/2 lb new potatoes quartered
- 1 c fresh sweet corn (or frozen white corn)
- 1 t crab boil
- 1 c half & half (optional)
- 1/2 c fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 5 whole lobsters, cooked and split in half or 1 1/2 lb dungeoness crab meat
- 1/4 t tabasco hot sauce (optional)
- 1 t worcestershire sauce
