- 8-ounce can almond paste
- 3-3-1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon almond extract

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
- 2 1/2 cups of almond flour
- 1/4 cup of arrowroot powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 3 T of butter
- 2 T of coconut sugar
- 1/4 cup of sour cream
- 2 large eggs
- 2 (more) T of butter
Honey Quinoa Bread

Cook the quinoa in 2 cups of water for 10 to 15 minutes, until the water is absorbed
- 1 cup raw quinoa
- 2 cups water (for cooking the quinoa)
- 1/4 cup oatmeal
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons yeast
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons powdered milk
- 2 tablespoons sourdough starter (optional)
- 2 1/2 -3 cups bread flour
- 1-2 teaspoons salt (to taste)
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 2 tablespoons raw quinoa for sprinkling on top of loaf

- juice of half a lemon

- 3 thick-cut bacon slices
- 2 Tbs. olive oil
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 1 carrot, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch dice
- 1 celery stalk, cut into 1/4-inch dice
- 1 tsp. minced garlic
- 1 Tbs. tomato paste
- 1 tsp. smoked paprika
- 1/4 cup canned diced tomatoes, drained
- 3/4 cup Red Chief lentils, picked over and rinsed
- 4 cups chicken broth
- Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
- Sour cream for garnish
