Combine milk and sugar in small heavy saucepan
- 1 1/3 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 tablespoons olive or cooking oil
- 2 cups all-purpose flour, approximately
- Herb and Garlic Topping
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
- 1 tablespoon cornmeal
- 1/2 teaspoon coarse sea salt
Charlotte Lane Spinach Salad

Cut slice from top and bottom of each orange
- 2 oranges
- 1 tart apple
- 10 ounces fresh spinach, washed and trimmed
- 1/4 cup toasted sliced almonds
- DRESSING
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons liquid honey
- 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
- 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon dried sage leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon each salt and pepper
Farfalle with Artichoke Hearts and Olives

Cook the pasta until al dente
- 1 pound bow pasta
- 13 ounces marinated artichoke hearts
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/2 cup pitted black olives, chopped
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
- 200 grams ricotta cheese
Cran-Raspberry Cordial

In food processor coarsely chop together cranberries and raspberries and sugar
- 2 C each frozen cranberreis and raspberries
- 2 C granulated sugar
- 1 bottle (750ml) vodka
Caesar Meat Sauce

- 2 tsp cooking oil
- 1 lb lean ground beeff
- 1 C choppped onion
- 14 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 T lemon juice
- 1 T sugar
- 1 T Worcestershire
- 2 tsp hot pepper sauce
- 1/2 tsp celery salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 T vodka
Chili Con Carne

Combine first 10 ingredients in 3 1/2 L slow cooker
- 14 ounces canned tomatoes, with juice, broken up
- 42 grams envelope dry onion soup mix
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon liquid gravy browner
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- 2 cups chopped onion
- 28 ounces kidney beans with liquid
- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
Chicken Parmesan Sandwiches

IN plastic or paper bag, combine breadcrumbs, 1/4 C Parmesan, oregano and pepper
- 1/4 C fine unseasoned breadcrumbs
- 1/4 C plus 4 tsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 3/4 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 4 chicken cutlets
- 1/4 C olie or other vegetable oil
- 4 Kaiser or other hard rolls, cut in half
- 1/4 C mayonnaise
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 2 medium plum tomatoes, sliced
French Dressing

- 1 1/4 cups vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Fontina Bechamel Sauce for Lasagne

Prepare
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 pound shredded fontina cheese, divided
Orange Cream Martini

Fill shaker with ice. Add ingredients and shake vigorously to blend and chill
- 2 T whipping cream
- 3/4 oz vodka
- 3/4 oz orange-flavoured liqueur
- 4 tsp frozen orange juice concentrate
- orange twist for garnish
