Turkey Salad

Put first 8 ingredients in large bowl
- Dressing:
- 4 C cooked turkey
- 1 C seedless grapes, halved
- 1 C sliced celery
- 10 oz canned mandarin oranges, drained
- 1/2 C toasted slivered almonds
- 1 C diced apple, with peel
- 1 C chopped peeled cucumber
- bean sprouts, large handful
- 1/2 C salad dressing or mayo
- 2 T white vinegar
- 1 T frozen concentrated orange juice
- 1 T sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
Cherry Nut Squares

Grease sides of 8-inch square cake pan, line bottom with parchment paper
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup icing sugar
- 1 tablespoon melted butter or vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup dried cherries
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon icing sugar
Spicy Applesauce Cookies

Preheat oven to 35oF. Lightly grease 2 large baking sheets
- 1/2 C unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 C packed light brown sugar
- 1/3 C sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 C applesauce
- 2 C all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1 C golden raisins
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans, toasted
- 3/4 C semisweet chocolate chips
Saucy Meatballs Sauce

Mix together. Pour over meatballs before baking
- 1 cup cranberry jelly
- 7 1/2 ounces tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- pinch ground cloves
Chicken with Walnuts and Celery

Combine the chicken with the soy sauce, brandy, cornstarch, salt and pepper
- 8 ounces boned chicken , cut into 1" pieces
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons brandy
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
- 1 cup walnut halves
- 3 sticks celery, cut in diagonal slices
- 3/4 cup water or chicken stock
- 2 teaspoons oyster sauce
Strawberry Bread

Cream butter and sugar will in mixing bowl
- 1/2 C butter
- 3/4 C granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp lemon juice
- 1/3 C strawberry jam, stirred
- 1/4 C sour cream
- 1 1/2 C all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
Spinach and Ruby Red Grapefruit Salad

Combine all the dressing ingredients
- Poppy Seed Dressing:
- 2 lbs fresh spinach
- 1 ruby red grapefruit
- 3 T champagne or white winne vinegar
- 3 T honey
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1/4 C olive oil
- 1/2 C vegetable oil
- 1/4 c poppy seeds
- 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- Cparse kosher salt to taste
Basil-Chicken Roulade

aprox 331 cal per serving
- 5 , 6-ounce skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
- 6 cups fresh spinach
- 1 C loosely packed fresh basil
- 2 T lemon juice
- 1/4 C chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 4 C chicken broth
- 2 C water
- 1 C Chardonnay or other dry white wine
- 1 1/2 C quick-cooking borwn and/or wild rice mix
My Favourite Bran Graham Muffins

Measure all dry ingredients into bowl
- 1 C all bran cereal
- 1 C graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 C flour
- 2 T whole wheat flour
- 1/4 C brown sugar
- 1/4 C wheat germ
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 C coarsely cut raisins
- 1 egg
- 1/3 C cooking oil
- 1/4 C molasses
- 3/4 C buttermilk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

Preheat oven to 375. Into a large bowl, sift together flour, baking soda and salt
- 2 1/4 C flour
- 1 tsp bakinng soda
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 C unsalted butter, softened
- 1 C packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 C sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 12 oz semisweet chocolate ships or semisweet chocolate chopped into small pieces
- 6 oz white chocolate chopped into small pieces
- 1 C chopped pecans or walnuts
