Honey Barbecue Sauce

Sauté onion and garlic in oil until softened
- 1/2 cup minced onion
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1 Tbs vegetable oil
- 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 Tbs vinegar
- 2 Tbs minced parsley
- 1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
Rio Breakfast Shake

Juice grapefruit; measure 1 1/3 cups juice
- 2 Texas Red Grapefruit
- 1 cup peeled and diced ripe mango or peach
- 1 medium banana
- 8 oz peach yogurt
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 cup crushed ice
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Thin slice of grapefruit, quartered for garnish
Chicago-Style Deep-Dish Pizza

Cook beef and next 7 ingredients in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned, stirring to crumble beef
- 3/4 lb ground round
- 3 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
- 2 cups chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1 cup chopped red bell pepper
- 1 tsp dried whole basil
- 1/2 tsp dried whole oregano
- 1/2 tsp fennel seeds, crushed
- 2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 deep-dish version of Basic Crust
- 1 cup Pizza Sauce

Put a colander or strainer in a bowl
- 1 (10-ounce) jar maraschino cherries
- 3 cups whipped topping
- 1 (4-serving-size) package any flavor instant pudding (chocolate is good!)
- 1-3/4 cups cold milk
- 6 flat-bottom ice cream cones
- Colored sprinkles and/or maraschino cherries, for garnish
Roast Beef Hash

Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- 2 potatoes, diced
- 4 oz bacon, diced
- 2 cups onions, chopped
- 1 lb roast beef, chopped
- 1 cup beef broth
- 8 eggs
Chicken and Dumplings

Place cut-up chicken in a large pan filled with enough water to completely cover chicken
- 1 (4-lb.) fresh whole chicken, cut up
- 1 medium onion, peeled and chopped
- 1 stalk celery, trimmed and chopped
- 3/4 cup butter or margarine (or a combination), melted
- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 4 eggs
Honey Herb Sauce for Vegetables

Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil; cook 2 minutes
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 Tbs onion, minced
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 tsp thyme, crushed
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Fruiteroni Pizza

Preheat oven to 425 degrees
- 1 12-inch prebaked thin pizza crust OR 12-inch regular pizza crust
- 1/2 cup pasta sauce OR pizza sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella OR jack cheese
- 1 large or 2 small thinly sliced fresh California peaches
- 2 medium thinly sliced fresh California plums
- 2 oz sliced pepperoni
- diced green peppers (optional)

Combine honey, lemon juice, garlic, parsley, lemon peel and cayenne in a small saucepan; mix well
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 Tbs chopped fresh parsley or rosemary
- 1/2 tsp grated lemon peel
- dash cayenne pepper
Seville Orange Confit
