Sourdough baguettes

This is a king Arthur recipe
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- 2 cups sourdough starter
- 4 1/2 to 5 cups flour
- 2 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp sugar (agave syrup, or honey)
- 1 tblsp yeast
- 4 tsp vital wheat gluten ( I don't use this)
- 1 egg yolk beaten with 1 tblsp water for glaze, optional
- Toppings, also optional
Asian Noodles w/ sesame seeds and peanut sauce

Chinese quick cold or warm salad
- 1 pkg pasta, preferably whole wheat
- 1 red pepper, sliced thin julienne
- 3 carrots, sliced thin and julienne
- 3 scallion, sliced thin
- 1 slivered jalepeno, sliced thin into strips
- 1/4 cup peanuts
- 2 tblsp sesame seeds
- 2 stalks celery, julienne
- Sauce
- 1 tblsp garlic
- 1 tblsp ginger
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup dark soy sauce
- 1/4 cup peanut butter
- 2 tblsp tahini
- 1/4 cup rice or black vinegar
- 3 tblsp rice wine or sherry
- 1 tblsp sesame oil
- 1 tblsp coconut or veg oil
- 2 tsp chili sauce
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 2 tsp red curry paste
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
Cocoa pound cake ( moms)

Preheat oven 325* Cream the butter, shortening, add sugar and cream well
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3 cups sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp. bkg. Powder
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tblsp. vanilla
Jennie's Chicken Cacciatore

This is an unusual and delicious chicken dish, much loved by our family
- One chicken, cut up , or just thighs and legs as you wish
- 1 small can tomato sauce
- 2 cups red wine
- 1 onion, halved and sliced
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 2 crushed garlic cloves
- 3 tblsp rosemary, if fresh, 1 tblsp if dried
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Ginger-Jerk Barbeque Sauce

Delicious!
- 1 12 oz jar ginger jam
- 3 tblsp soy sauce
- 1 tblsp mustard ( try Coleman's or spicy brown)
- 3 tblsp any kind vinegar ( I used white wine)
- 2 tblsp aardvark jerk sauce, opt.
- 3 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped red bell
- 1-2 fine diced jalepeno
- 1 cup fine dice pineapple
- 1 tsp allspice
- 1/2 tsp thyme or marjoram

Bisquick cornbread
- 3 cups bisquick
- 3-5 tblsp. Cornmeal
- 1 cup butter,melted
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 3/4 tsp. Baking powder
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cup milk
green chili puff

Beat the eggs for about three minutes
- 10 eggs
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 tsp bkg powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 cups monterey jack cheese
- 2 cups cottage cheese
- 1 4oz can chili, chopped
Christmas Ravioli

Savory squash and beets are roasted to make a delicious filling for spinach pasta
- 2 cups cubed squash, I used kabocha or butternut
- 2 beets, cut into cube
- 1 egg
- 1 clove garlic
- 10 oz spinach
- 1/2 cup grated parmasian
- 3 cups AP flour
- 1 cup semilina ( can use flour if unavailable)
- 1 tblsp olive oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- Dried herbs for the roasing
Thai peanut sauce

Mix together in a cuisinart
- 2 tsp ginger
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 cup wine vinegar
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 2 jalepino
- Cilantro
- 2 tsp curry
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tsp sesame oil
Jambalaya

Heat oil and cook green pepper, onion, and garlic until tender
- 2 Tbsp Oil
- 1 Cup Green Pepper, chopped
- 1 Cup Onion, chopped
- 1 clove Garlic
- 2 tsp Salt
- Pepper to taste
- 2 tsp (or more) Worchestershire Sauce
- 1/4 tsp Thyme or Marjoram or both
- 3 Cups water
- 1 1/2 Cups uncooked Rice
- 1 to 2 Cups chopped Chicken or Turkey
- 1 to 2 Cups cubed cooked Ham
