A great stew for a cold day
- 3 lbs oxtails with separated joints
- Salt and pepper
- Olive oil
- 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
- 1 celery rib, chopped
- 1 large carrot, chopped
- 2 cups stock (chicken or beef)
- 2 cups of red wine
- 3 whole cloves garlic, peel still on
- One bay leaf
- Pinch of thyme
- Parsley
- 2 carrots, cut into 1-inch segments, large pieces also cut lengthwise
- 2 parsnips, cut into 1-inch segments, large pieces also cut lengthwise
- 2 turnips, cut into 1-inch pieces
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper

- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- 2 to 3 teaspoons minced fresh parsley

Meat Loaf (Betty Crocker)

Good ole Meat Loaf... Betty Crocker Style
- 1 1/2 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 egg
- 3 slices bread, finely chopped (1 1/2 cups, lightly packed)
- 1 small onion, chopped (1/4 cup)
- 1/2 cup ketchup, chili sauce or barbecue sauce
Sausage Biscuit & Gravy Casserole

Saute the onions in a skillet for a minute or two just to get them to start softening
- 1 lb pork sausage

1. In a medium saucepan combine sugar, water, and peels
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon finely shredded orange peel
- 2 teaspoons finely shredded lemon peel
- 1 1/2 teaspoons finely shredded lime peel
- 1/3 cup orange juice
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 4 cups sliced fresh strawberries

Thaw pastry. Cut into length wise strips using a pastry wheel
- 1 package Pepperidge Farm Frozen Puff Pastry
- 1 egg and 1 TBSP water, mixed together
- Filling
- You can fill these with anything -- chocolate cream, whipped cream, etc. -- but we prefer the traditional filling.
- 2 cups Crisco
- 1 stick of butter
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 6 cups powdered sugar

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees
- 1 10 3/4 -ounce can cream of chicken soup
- 1 10 3/4 -ounce can cheddar cheese soup
- 1 10 3/4 -ounce can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 10-ounce can tomatoes
- 1 whole chicken, cooked, boned, and chopped or 4 cups leftover cooked chicken
- 11 1/2-ounce package flour tortillas
- 2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Apple Cider Jus

- 1 cup chicken broth
- 3/4 cup chopped onion
- 6 whole allspice
- 3 large fresh thyme sprigs (or a big rosemary sprig)

- 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar

- 5 tablespoons butter, unsalted

Pizza Casserole

This can be made any way you like
- 1 bag of Egg Noodles
- 1 extra large can of Ragu sauce {or any tomato/pizza sauce you prefer}
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese or more if you like it cheesy
- 4 or 5 links Italian sausage (or prepackaged ready to use)
- 1 can/jar of sliced mushrooms
- 1 package pepperonis
Hot Wing Sauce

The Original “Buffalo Wings” Sauce
- 1/2 stick of Margarine (Not Butter)!
- 6 tbsp. Trappey’s Louisiana Hot Sauce
- 1/4 (or less) tbsp. White Vinegar (Depending on how much you want your sinuses cleared).
- 1/4 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
- 1/4 tsp. Red Pepper
- 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/8 tsp. Celery Seed Powder
- 1/8 tsp. Garlic Salt
- Dash of Black Pepper
- 1 - 2 tbsp. Tobasco Sauce
- 1/4 jar of Nancee’s Chicken Wing Sauce HOT

- 1 tbsp. Yucatan Habanero Pepper Sauce
