- 1/4 c whey powder
- 1/4 c chocolate slim-fast
- 1 Banana
- 1 c skim milk
- 1 c ice
Pretzel Bites

Easy homemade pretzel pieces that will disappear quickly
- Bath:
- Homemade Pretzel Bites
- 1 1/4 1 1/4 1/4 cup warm water
- 1 1 1/4 T. plus 1/4 tsp. yeast
- 3 3/4 3 3/4 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 3/4 2 c. + 2 T powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 1 1/2 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 2 2 tsp. vegetable oil
- 2 2 2 c. warm water
- 1/4 1/4 1/4 c. baking soda
- Place all ingredients (except bath mixture) into bread machine and run the dough cycle.
- 10 you do not have a bread machine, make these like any other dough. Mix water/yeast (let sit 10 minutes), add dry ingredients, knead, raise until doubled.}
- to 425 is done, preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Make a bath for the pretzels by combining the baking soda with warm water and stir until soda is mostly dissolved (it won't dissolve completely).
- 4 4 4 minutes, then rotate pan and bake another 4 minutes.
Salmon Teriyaki

Prep time: 8 minutes + 1-2 hours marinating Cooking time: 12 minutes
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 2 Tablespoons vegetabel oil
- 2 Tablespoons cooking sherry (vinegar)
- 1 Tablespoon dark brown sugar
- 1 small clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
- 2 (3/4-1" thick) salmon steaks
Strawberry Freezer Jam

Follow easy no cook recipe in Sure Jell box
- 12 # fresh strawberries
- 7 boxes Sure-Jell Pectin
- lots of sugar
- 1 -Wash, Dry, Scald containers and lids. WASH Fruit and PUREE (Usually berries are mashed in small batches to leave bits of fruit, I prefer it smooth). MEASURE 2 cups FRUIT into LARGE BOWL.
- 2 -MEASURE 4 cups SUGAR accurately by scraping knife blade across full cup to level - place in separate bowl.
- 3 -MIX SUGAR AND FRUIT together. Let stand 10 MIN stirring occasionally.
- 4 -Mix 3/4 cup WATER and one box SURE-JEL OR CAN-JEL (about 5-6 Tablespoons) in small sauce pan. Bring to a boil and boil for 1 MIN stirring constantly.
- 5 -STIR SURE-JEL into FRUIT, continue stirring for THREE MIN. (A few sugar crystals will remain)
- 6 -QUICKLY POUR into prepared CONTAINERS, wiping clean top edge. FILL TO WITHIN 1/2 inch from top. COVER at once with lids. Let stand at ROOM TEMPERATURE untouched, for 24 hours. Store in freezer and refrigerate after opening
Broccoli Cheddar Soup

Saute onion in butter. Set aside
- 2 T. Butter, melted
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. butter, melted
- 1/2 c. all purpose flour
- 4 c. half and half
- 4 c. chicken broth
- 1 lb. fresh broccoli
- 2 cups, julienned carrots
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 t. nutmeg
- 16 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, grated
Sourdough Bread

- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 2 1/2 cups warm water, divided
- 5 to 7 cups white bread flour, divided
- 2 (1/4-ounce) packets dry yeast
- 2 tsp sugar, divided
- 2 tsp. salt
- To Make Sourdough Olive Bread
- 1 cup chopped kalamata olives
- 1 chopped small yellow onion
- 4 minced garlic cloves
- Saute in 2 tablespoons olive oil until onions are tender. Cool. Add to dough during first kneading and proceed with recipe.
- Also, try finely chopped Rosemary in place of olives.
Bacon Ranch Chicken

Sweet Bacon Cranberry Chicken

- 2 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 1 can (15 oz) whole cranberry sauce
- 1 cup tangy bacon catalina dressing or tomato
- bacon dressing
- 1 envelop dried onion soup mix
- 6 ounces Swiss cheese (slices or shredded)
