- 2 garlic heads
- 6-8 tsp dry peppers
- 6-8 tsp whole black peppercorns
- Plenty of dill heads
- 12 cups water
- 4 cups vinegar
- 1 cup picking salt
Nutty Maple Spinach Salad

The colourful salad combines the tastes of sweet, sour and tangy
- 1/4 cup low fat mayo
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 3 tablespoons white wine vinegar
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup soft goat cheese
- 1 small bag of baby spinach
- 1 small red onion
- 12 slice of picked beets sliced thinly
- 3/4 cup whole walnuts or pecans
- 2 teaspoons of sugar
- 3 tablespoon maple syrup
- 6 tablespoon water
Potato Cheese Pancakes

Don't make pancakes too large
- 2 pounds (900g) potatoes, peeled and grated
- 1/2 cup (50g) Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup (50g) Parmesan cheese
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 1/2 tsp (2g) garlic powder
- 1/4 cup (30g) all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp (5g) salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup (50g) oil, for frying
- Dipping sauce
- 1/2 cup (120g) sour cream
- 1 tbsp (20g) chili garlic sauce

Burger - Sweet Potato Falafel

A cross between falafel and a veggie burger, these savoury patties make a hearty meal
- 2 cups mashed sweet potatoes (about 2 potatoes)
- 1 can (540 mL) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 3 cloves garlic , minced
- 2 cups chopped fresh cilantro (with stems)
- 1/3 cup quinoa flakes
- 2 tablespoons each tahini and Asian chili sauce (such as sriracha)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 8 buns
Chocolate Chip Oreo Cookie Bars

Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2/3 cup salted butter (softened)
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 1/2 cup flour
- 2 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 12 OREO cookies (crushed)
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
- Optional: Top with 2 extra OREO cookies and a 1/4 cup white chocolate chips
Chocolate Chip Dreams - Shirl's

- 1 tin Eagle Brand milk
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 small pkg chocolate chips
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups graham wafer crumbs
- 1/2 cup chopped red and green cherries
- 1/2 cup fruit sugar
Teriyaki Sauce

- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
