Italian Marinade for Beef Steaks

This marinade is delicious on steaks but can easily be adapted to poultry or game meats
- 1/2 C soy sauce
- 2 TBS brown sugar
- 2 TBS lemon juice
- 2 TBS olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 TBS minced onion
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Red Chili Sauce

Process this sauce to last for a year, or refrigerate it for a couple weeks! YUM!
- 12 hot chili red peppers (your choice). Chopped. Not necessary to seed the peppers unless you prefer. You can run the mixture through a sieve later if a smoother sauce is desired.
- 2 medium onions quartered or chopped
- 2 cloves garlic
- Salt (to taste)
- 2T oil
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 2 TBS sugar.
- 6 ripe plumb tomatoes
- 150 ml (about 5 oz) apple cider vinegar.
- 250 ml (about 8 oz) cloudy apple juice.
7 Can Casserole

This recipe has been handed down in our family through the years
- 1 lb hamburger (lean)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 C cheese (cheddar is best)
- 3 TBS chili powder
- 1 can garbanzo beans, drained
- 1 can chili beans, drained
- 1 can tamales
- 1 can creamed corn
- 1 can tomatoes
- 1 can kidney beans, drained
- 1 can black olives, drained
Beef Stew

Dip crusty dinner rolls into this hearty stew to soak up the savory broth
- 3/4 lb lean beef stew meat
- Nonstick spray coating
- 4 C water
- 3 medium onions, halved
- 1 TBS grated orange peel
- 1 TBS instant beef bullion granules
- 1 tsp dried thyme, crushed
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano, crushed
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 medium carrots, peeled
- 2 parsnips, peeled
- 1/2 medium turnip (about 1/2 lb)
- 2 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks
- 2 stalks celery, cut in chunks
- 1 C frozen peas
- 1/4 C chopped fresh parsley or 1 TBS dried parsley flakes
- 2 TBS all-purpose flour
- 1/2 C cold water
Flavor-Packed BBQ Spareribs

Pepare grill: Gas or Grill as desired Combine salt, ginger, cumin, and cayenne in a small bowl
- SAUCE:
- 2 Tbsp kosher salt
- 1 Tbsp ground ginger
- 1 Tbsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 racks pork spareribs (8 to 9 lb)
- 2 cups balsamic vinegar
- 1 1/2 cups ketchup
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
Taco Pie

This easy recipe is adaptable for any type of meat
- 1 (8-oz) can crescent rolls
- 1 lb lean ground beef or turkey
- 1/2 pkg taco seasoning
- 1/3 cup water (or follow seasoning package directions)
- OPTIONAL: Replace 1/3 C water with 1 small can Rotel tomatoes
- 1 1/2 C crushed tortilla chips, divided
- 1 (8-oz) container light sour cream
- 1 1/2 C shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 (2.25-oz) can sliced black olives, drained
- salsa, shredded lettuce, other toppings (optional)
Grandma’s Chicken Casserole

1 Heat oven to 350°F. 2 Place chicken in bottom of ungreased 13 x 9-inch baking dish
- 3 cups cooked chicken, chopped
- 2 cans (10.75 oz each) cream of chicken soup
- 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
- 3 cups Progresso™ panko crispy bread crumbs or any dry stuffing mix
- 6 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
CARNATION® Famous Fudge

LINE 8-inch-square baking pan with foil
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup (5 fl.-oz. can) NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups miniature marshmallows
- 1 1/2 cups (9 oz.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Korean Beef Ribs

This recipe is best cooked on the grill, but during the winter you can enjoy it cooked on an indoor grill
- 4 lbs beef short ribs. Look for, or order, "plate-cut" beef short ribs.
- Marinade
- 1/4 C Sake or Sherry
- 1/4 C sesame seed oil
- 2 to 3 TBS toasted sesame seeds
- 4 to 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 C chopped green onion tops
- 1/2 C soy sauce
- 1/2 C sugar
- 1 TBS grated ginger
KOREAN FRIED DUMPLINGS

Make the dipping sauce. In a small pan over medium heat, combine the sesame seeds and red pepper flakes
- For the dumplings:
- 1 pound ground pork
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup shredded carrot (about 1 small)
- 2 scallions, finely chopped (white and green parts)
- 1/2 tsp. toasted sesame oil
- 1 tsp. hot sauce (such as Frank's Red Hot)
- For the dipping sauce: 1 Tb. white sesame seeds, toasted
- 1 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tsp. unseasoned rice vinegar
- 1 tsp. toasted sesame oil
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp. kosher salt Freshly ground black pepper
- 40 round dumpling (potsticker /gyoza) wrappers
