  • 2 sticks butter (room temperature)
  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 Tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup miniature chocolate chips (optional, I omitted them)
  • Grated zest of 1 large navel orange
  • 1/4 teaspoon pure orange oil (optional)
  • 1 teaspoons LorAnn's Buttery Sweet Dough Flavor (optional)
  • For the syrup:
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease and flour two 9x5x3-inch loaf pans; set aside

  • Vanilla Batter:
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • 1 cup Confectioners Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
