Ingredients

  • Casserole
  • 2 lb. hash brown potatoes, I like to thaw at least partially.
  • 3/4 c. margarine, melted (This is actually too much. I cut mine
  • in half using appr. 3/8 of a cup.)
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1/2 t. pepper
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup, undiluted
  • 1 pt. sour cream, (16 oz.)
  • 2 c. grated cheddar cheese
  • Top
  • 2 c. crushed corn flakes
  • 1/2 c. melted margarine or butter Again, this is too much. I
  • use only 1/4 c.

Preparation

Step 1

Casserole
Mix all ingredients together and pour into a 13x9x2 inch pan or baking dish.
Topping
Mix margarine or butter with crushed corn flakes and put on top of potatoes.
Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes to an hour.
