Hot and Sweet Lime Tofu

Ingredients

  • Firm Tofu - 3 Cup (after cubing. Each cube about 1/2 inch)
  • Corn Flour - 6 Tablespoon
  • Salt per taste
  • Oil - 2-3 tablespoon
  • Spring Onion - 1 tablespoon (chopped)
  • For Sauce
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Soya Sauce - 1.5 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 3 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1.5 teaspoon
  • Red Chilli flakes - 2 teaspoon
  • Mint Leaves - 1 teaspoon (finely Chopped)
  • Lime Juice or Lemon Juice - 1 tablespoon (adjust to your taste)

Preparation

Step 1

Cube the Tofu and add salt and cornflour and mix it well. Keep it aside for 30 mins.
Mix all the ingredients under For sauce and keep it aside for 20 - 30 mins

Heat the kada and add 2-3 tablespoon of oil and shallow fry the Tofu till all the sides are slight brown in color. Make each pieces are touching the bottom of the kada if not do it in 2 batches

Heat the kada and add sauce. When the foam start to form add in fried Tofu and mix well. When the sauce is fully coated on it add in spring onion and mix well.


Serve hot. It can be served as snack or as side dish to fried rice or noodles
