Ingredients

• COOKIES:
• 1 cup butter, softened
• 1 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
• 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 egg
• 2 3/4 all purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• FROSTING:
• 1/2 cup butter
• 2 1/2 icing sugar
• 2 tablespoon milk

Step 1

COOKIES:
Preheat oven to 350˚F.

Combine flour, baking soda and baking powder. Set aside.

In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar together until smooth. Add egg and vanilla. Blend in dry ingredients.

Roll dough into 1 inch balls, flatten slightly. Place on baking sheet.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool.

FROSTING:
Cream butter, beat in sugar and add milk. Add more milk or sugar to get desired consistency.
