White cake with Pineapple filling

Ingredients
- Filling:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 1/2 cup cake flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 egg whites
- vanilla
- 1 cup crushed pineapple
- 4 egg yolks- beaten
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice

Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter and 3/4 cup sugar together till like whipped cream. Sift together 3 times flour, salt and baking powder. Alternate adding flour mixture and water to butter mixture until all is used. Add vanilla. Beat egg whites till stiff and add 3/4 cup sugar. Fold together egg whites and cake batter. Pour into 9x13 pan and take 350 degree for 30 minutes.
Heat pineapple in double boiler and add egg yolks carefully till thick. Add sugar and lemon juice and pour over cooled cake.
