Apple Crisp

  • 8 peeled, cored, sliced apples (Gala and Granny Smith)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons bourbon
  • 1/2 cup chopped toasted pecans or almonds
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup uncooked oats
  • 4 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces



Step 1

Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix first 4 ingredients; set aside. In separate bowl, combine dry ingredients. Cut butter into mixture, using a fork or your fingers to achieve a crumbly texture.

Pur apples into lightly buttered 8 x 8 casserole dish or 6 large ramekins and top with flour mixture.

Bake about 45 minutes, until topping is bubbling and crunch.
