  • 12 U-8 Maine diver scallops
  • 1/4 cup herbed garlic marinade (recipe follows)
  • kosher salt, to taste
  • 1/4 cup butter-less, egg-less bearnaise sauce

Step 1

Marinate the scallops in the herbed garlic marinade. Lightly season the scallops with the kosher salt. Place the scallops on a very hot grill. Grill the scallops or both sides until they are cooked medium, approximately 4 minutes per side. Time will vary depending on the size of the scallops and temperature of the grill. When the scallops are ready, place them on a decorative platter and serve the bearnaise sauce on the side.
