Ingredients
- 1/3 cup soft shorening
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup liquid honey
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup canned pumpkin
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pumpkin seeds
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tps. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 1/4 tsp. cloves

Step 1
Heat oven to 350 deg. Grease 9 x 5 loaf pan. Beat shortening, sugar, honey and eggs together until fluffy. Beat in pumpkin and milk, then stir in pumpkin seeds. Mix 8 remaining ingredients together with a fork. Stir into first mixture, then beat 1 minute.
Turn into pan and bake 55 - 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean. Turn out of pan and cool on a rack.
