Pork Chops and Cinnamon Apples

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp dried rubbed sage
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 4 loin center cut pork chops 1/2 inch thick
  • 1/2 tsp vegetable oil
  • cooking spray
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 4 cups sliced peeled granny smith apples ( 4 medium)
  • 1 TBS brown sugar
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • dash of salt

Preparation

Step 1

combine 1st three ingredients and sprinkle over pork chops

heat oil in a large non stick skillet over medium heat
add pork
cook 3 minutes on each side ( until done)

remove pork from pan, cover and keep warm

melt butter in same pan over medium heat
add apples and remaining ingredients
cook 5 minutes, or until tender, stirring frequently

place pork back into pan

serve apples with the pork
