Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cup cake flour or 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/3 cup sugar
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp allspice
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 1 can (10 1/2 oz) condensed tomato soup
- 1/2 cup white shortening (Crisco)
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup water
- Cream Cheese Frosting
- 2 – 3 oz pkg cream cheese softened
- 1 Tblsp milk
- 1 box powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Grease & flour 8 or 9 inch cake pans
Measure all dry ingredients and put into large bowl.
Add soup and shortening
Beat at low to medium speed for 2 minutes
Add eggs and water
Beat 2 minutes longer
Pour into prepared pans
Bake 35-40 minutes
Let stand in pans 10 minutes.
Remove from pans and cool on rack.
Frosting
Blend cheese with milk. Gradually add sugar. Blend well. Add vanilla
