Sauteed Okra with Garlic

  • 4 t. olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 10-oz. bags frozen okra, thawed
  • 3 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 T. red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1/2 t. freshly ground pepper
  • 2 T. chopped fresh cilantro



Step 1

Heat oil in large skillet. Add onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the okra and garlic; cook, stirring occasionally, until pods are bright green and crisp, about 10 minutes. Stir in vinegar, salt and pepper; cook, stirring gently until okra is tender. Sprinkle with cilantro
