  • 1 head of cabbage
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 c cooked rice
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 c onion
  • 1/4 c green pepper
  • 1 tsp sugar


Servings 6


Step 1

Cover cabbage leaves with water, boil until limp
Brown ground beef with onion and green pepper
Cook rice
Mix beef, onion, rice, 1/2 c tomato sauce, garlic, pepper
Put 1/3 c beef mix in each leaf, roll tucking in sides
Place in casserole dish, seam side down
Mix remaining tomato sauce with sugar, pour over rolls
Cover and bake 350 for 45 minutes
