Ingredients
- 1 large can pumpkin (enough for 2 pies)
- (**OR USE A LARGE CAN OF PUMPKIN PIE MIX AND FORGET SUGAR AND SPICES)
- 1 13 ounce can evaporated milk
- 4 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice **
- 1 cup sugar **
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 2 sticks of butter or margarine (melted)
- 1 cup chopped pecans

Step 1
Mix and beat first 6 ingredients (4, if using can pumpkin pie mix)and pour into a lightly greased 9 X 13 pan
Sprinkle box of yellow cake mix on top of mixture
Melt 2 sticks of butter or margarine and pour on top of cake mix
Sprinkle 1 cup of chopped pecans on top
Bake 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
Cool and serve in squares topp0ed with whipped cream
