- 2 TBSP SHORTENING
- 1 CUP INSTANT RICE
- 1 ENVELOPE ONION SOUP
- 1 4 OZ CAN SLICED MUSHROOMS
- HOT WATER
- 1 CAN CREAM OF CHICKEN OR MUSHROOM SOUP

Step 1
BROWN PORK CHOPS IN SHORTENING. MIX RICE, MUSHROOMS, CREAM OF CHICKEN SOUP, AND ALL BUT 1 TBSP OF ONION SOUP MIX TOGETHER WITH ENOUGH HOT WATER TO EQUAL 3 CUPS OF LIQUID. SPREAD RICE/SOUP MIXTURE IN THE BOTTOM OF BAKING PAN. ARRANGE CHOPS ON TOP. SPRINKLE WITH REMAINING ONION SOUP. COVER TIGHTLY WITH FOIL AND BAKE IN OVEN 350 FOR 45 MINUTES TO ONE HOUR. REMOVE FOIL AND CONTINUE COOKING FOR 10 MINUTES OR UNTIL EXCESS LIQUID EVAPORATES.
