  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 onion, sauteed
  • 1/2 cup uncooked rice, cooked
  • 1/2 can tomato soup
  • cabbage

Preparation

Step 1

1. Combine all ingredients except cabbage.

2. Prepare cabbage: Core head and drop into boiling water. As leaves separate, remove from head and cut white, bitter part off. Place filling on cabbage leaf and fold like an envelope. Place in roaster pan and pour tomato soup and water over top.

3. Bake at 350 degrees, 1/2 hour, then lower to 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
