Cheese & Bacon Pinwheels

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup crispy cooled, crumbled bacon
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp sliced green onions
  • 7 slices of bread, crusts removed

Step 1

In a small bowl, stir together all ingredients except bread. Flatten each bread slice with a rolling pin. Spread each bread slice with 1-1/2 tbsp cheese mixture. Roll up jelly roll fashion beginning with short side. Slice each roll into pinwheels. Secure each with a wooden pick. Place on a cookie sheet. Heat broiler. Broil 5" from heat for 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 minutes or until lightly brown and cheese is melted. Remove and serve immediately.
