Ingredients

  • 1 large white onion
  • 1 1/2 # flank steak
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup & 4 tsp soy sauce
  • juice of 3 limes
  • 2 tbsp chopped ginger & 1 tsp ginger juice
  • 1 tbsp seasame oil
  • 1 pck 16 oz linguine
  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 4 tsp thai sweet chili sauce
  • chopped peanuts for garnish

Step 1

Spray slow cooker. Slice onion into thin rings and lay flat in cooker. Pay meat dry and cut challow horizontal slits against the grain on top. Place meat over onion.

Combine garlic, sugar, 1/4 cup of the soy, 3 tabs lime joice, ginger and oil in small bowl. Season with greshly ground black pepper to taste. Pour sauce over steak to coat.

Cook on low 4 1/2 hrs to 6 hrs. Cook pasta according to package directions. Mix reserved ginger juice, vinegar, chili sauce and remaning soy and lime juice in medium bowl. Cover and regrigerate.

Toss pasta with ginger dressing. Remove meat from cooker and let stand 10 minutes. Cut steak into 1/2" think slices. Serve over pasta and garnish with chopped peanuts, if desired.
