Carrot-Cabbage Slaw

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
- 2 Tbs sour cream
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 Tbs cider vinegar
- 1 tsp finely grated lemon peel
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp celery seed
- 1/4 tsp caraway seed
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
- 1 medium cabbage, chopped or shredded (about 12 cups)
- 4 medium carrots, chopped or shredded (about 2 cups)
- 1/2 cup sugar

Preparation
Step 1
For dressing, in a small bowl combine sugar, mayonnaise and sour cream. Add buttermilk, milk, vinegar, lemon peel, salt, celery seed, caraway and pepper; whisk until smooth.
In a large bowl combine cabbage and carrots. Add dressing; toss to coat. Cover and chill 4 to 24 hours.
Note: Add a small amount of red cabbage to give extra color to this delicious coleslaw recipe.
