  • 3 cups buttermilk baking mix
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup chopped dates
  • 1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Preparation

Step 1

Combine baking mix, milk and butter in a mixing bowl; mix well.

Stir in chopped dates, grated cheese and nutmeg.

Drop mixture by large tablespoons onto a greased baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees, 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden brown.

Cool scones on wire rack.
