French Apple Cake

Ingredients

• MIX:
• 3/4 c. shortening
• 2 c. sugar
• 2 eggs (beat well)
• 3 c. sliced apples
• 2 c. flour
• 1 tsp. cinnamon
• 1 tsp. nutmeg
• 1/2 tsp. soda
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• TOPPING:
• 1/2 c. brown sugar
• 2 tbsp. flour
• 1/2 c. pecans
• 2 tbsp. melted butter

Preparation

Step 1

Mix flour mixture into shortening, sugar, eggs. Add apples, put into 9 x 13 pan. Dough will be stiff.

Mix together topping, sprinkle over cake before baked. Bake at 350 for 35-45 mins. or till done.
