Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/3 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup sugar

Step 1

Grease 12 extra deep muffin cups. Combine first 5 ingredients. Mix well. In a separate bowl combine flour, baking powder & salt. Combine with butter mixture, and stir only slightly. DO NOT OVERMIX. Spoon batter evenly between muffin cups. Divide the blueberries onto the top of each muffin batter. In another bowl, combine the remaining ingredients and mix well. Spoon the topping evenly between muffins. Bake for 30 minutes at 350°F and then let cool in tins for 5 minutes. Remove carefully and eat warm. Great with a little ice cream or whipped cream.
