Ingredients

  • Pastry for a 9” pie pan

  • 2

    eggs

  • 1

    cup sugar

  • 2

    tablespoons cornstarch

  • 1

    teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/2

    teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1/2

    cup butter, melted

  • 1

    cup smooth applesauce

  • 1

    teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place pie crust into a 9” pie pan. In a mixing bowl, whisk together all of the remaining ingredients; pour into the pie crust and bake for 45 minutes until the crust is golden and the filling is a bit puffy. (It will deflate upon cooling.)
