Grilled Sausages with Spinach

Ingredients
- 2 bunches spinach(about 3/4 lb each)
- 8 mild Italian sausahe (about 2 lb total)
- 2 tablespoons each olive oil & butter or margarine
- 1 medium-size,slivered
- 1 clove garlic minced or missed
- 1/4 teaspoon dry,basil
- 1 medium-sized tomato peeled & chopped
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon each ground nutmeg & white pepper
- Lemon wedges

Step 1
remove & discard stems from well-rinsed spinach set spinach aside.Piece each sausages in several place with a fork.Place on grill about 6 inches above a bed of glowing coals turning as needed to brown well.Grill for 25 to 30 minutes or until sausages are cooked in center (cut a piece to test.)
Meanwhile,in a large frying pan,over mediumheat.Place oil and butter.When butter is melted add onion and cook,stirring until soft and golden.Mix in garlic,basil,tomato,wine,salt,nutmeg,& pepper.Cook,stirring,until mixture is thick.8 to 10 minutes.)Add spinach and continue,cooking and stirring until spinach is just wilted and thoughly combined with tomatoe mixture.Place spinach on a platter.Top with sausages and garnish with lemons
