Stuffed Trout

  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1/4 c. chopped green onion
  • 3/4 c. sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp. grated lemon peel
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • Dash dried basil
  • Dash pepper
  • 1/2 lb. raw medium shrimp
  • 2 slices white bread, cut into 1/4" cubes
  • 4 fresh drawn trout, about 8 oz. each



Step 1

In medium bowl, combine celery, onion and margarine. Microwave at High 4 to 6 minutes, or until tender.
Stir in mushrooms, parsley, lemon peel, salt, basil and pepper. Stir in bread cubes to coat. Chop shrimp into small pieces; mix into stuffing.
Spoon 1/4 of stuffing into cavity of each fish. Place in shallow baking dish.
Cover with plastic wrap, rolling back one edge.
Microwave at 50%, 17 to 22 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with a fork, rotating dish twice during the cooking time. Let stand 5 minutes.
