- Oven 350 F
- 4 cups mashed cooked squash, or frozen thawed
- 2 Tbsp rum
- 2 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp cream
- 1/2 cup well drained crushed pineapple
- 5 Tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Mix squash, rum, syrup, salt, cream, pineapple and 3 Tbsp butter and pour into a greased 2 quart casserole.
Melt remaining butter over low heat and stir in brown sugar and walnuts.
Cook stirring until creamy and pour over squash.
Bake 20-30 minutes
